Global Icon Rihanna visits Ambassador Nyhus at US Embassy in Bridgetown
While a glimpse of her in the Embassy, the Ambassador said that he was honoured to host the global icon and the national hero of Barbados.

The legendary artist, entrepreneur and philanthropist Rihanna visited the US Embassy in Bridgetown on Sunday during her visit to her home country, Barbados. Ambassador Roger F Nyhus proudly welcomed her on behalf of President Biden and the American people.
While sharing a glimpse of her in the Embassy, the Ambassador said that he was honoured to host the global icon and the national hero of Barbados. He said that Rihanna embodied the warm and welcoming spirit he see everyday on the island nation.He also appreciated her and said that her global impact extends far beyond music, influencing culture and business as well as inspiring communities around the world.
Ambassador Nyhus said that he looks forward to exploring opportunities to work together and forge connections which bring the nations closer together through music, the arts while making a difference in people's lives. The discussions between the Ambassador and the National Hero Rihanna shows continued collaboration between United States and Barbados and showcases the significance of cultural exchange in fostering international relationships.The singer was seen dressed up casually in a striped shirt and grey jeans, which she paired with a necklace. The National Hero visited the new Ambassador and talked about several matters of common interests.
In addition to this, Rihanna was also seen at a local club named Zouk Lounge Night Club on the island with her husband and a few others.

Notably, despite being a global star, Rihanna has always stayed connected with her roots. In every conference or press release, she expresses her love for her country, saying, "I'm so proud to be a Bajan! I'm going to be a Bajan till the day I die. This is still the only place I've ever called home!"
She visits Barbados consistently as she went through so many struggles during her childhood. Rihanna revealed that she had to sleep in a cramped room with her mother and brothers, but she never stopped working hard.
In 2021, the country declared Rihanna a national hero during its republican celebrations in Bridgetown. Prime Minister Mia Mottley presented her with a huge honour and gave her best wishes to the international singer.
