COVID infections have started increasing in many countries of Europe. To prevent the spread of disease, restrictions have been imposed again in many countries. The protests against the limits have also started. In the Netherlands and Austria, people took to the streets in large numbers and vandalized and set fire to offices. Many people, including the police officers, were injured in this. Austria has made anti-COVID vaccination compulsory for all from 1 February.

Europe: COVID infections have started increasing in many countries of Europe. To prevent the spread of disease, restrictions have been imposed again in many countries. The protests against the limits have also started. In the Netherlands and Austria, people took to the streets in large numbers and vandalized and set fire to offices. Many people, including the police officers, were injured in this. Austria has made anti-COVID vaccination compulsory for all from 1 February. European nations took stringent measures Slovakia has banned the entrance of non-essential goods shops, especially malls, for those who have not had an ANTI-COVID vaccine. People who are not fully vaccinated will also not go to public events. Not only this, even to go for work, such people will have to be checked twice a day. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has banned people who have not taken the ANTI-COVID vaccine from restaurants and other social places like cinemas, theatres, museums and gyms. The Czech Republic has also inflicted strict restrictions on such people. Violent protests in the Netherlands Given the increasing infection, restrictions have been imposed in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In protest against this, many people took to the streets on Friday and demonstrated. The protesters ransacked several offices and set a police vehicle on fire. Consequently, The police officials had to open fire to bring the situation under control. Seven people, including police officers, were injured in this violent demonstration. The police have arrested 20 people. The Law Minister of the Netherlands has condemned the incident and called for strict action against the protesters. The protest started in Austria Austria has announced a 10-day lockdown from Monday, extending to 20 days. The Austrian government has made vaccination mandatory for all from February 1 next year. The protest has started on Saturday itself. The main opposition party of the nation has also supported the protest. Along with Austria, people are becoming vocal against the restrictions in Switzerland, Croatia and Italy. It is to be known that in the Netherlands in January this year, when a curfew was imposed in many areas, people also protested heavily. Singapore plans to vaccinate children The Singapore govt plans to introduce an ANTI-COVID vaccine to children under the age of 12 from January. The Health Ministry stated on Saturday that 11.2pc of the total cases of COVID-19 had been seen in children below the age of 12 yrs. COVID increased in the Czech Republic In the Czech Republic, for the second time within a week, more than 22 thousand new cases of COVID have been recorded. According to the Ministry of Health, 22,936 new COVID cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. Officials reported that the disease killed 110 people in the Czech Republic on Thursday. 1,254 deaths in Russia, 63,924 COVID cases in Germany In the last 24 hours in Russia, a record 1,254 people died due to the COVID, while 37,120 new cases were recorded. The number of COVID infected in Russia has escalated to 9,294,188, while 262,843 people have lost their lives due to the pandemic. 63,924 cases have been recorded 24 hours in Germany, while 248 people have died.
