Eastern parts of Jamaica trembled by magnitude 3.2 quake

The eastern parts of Caribbean island Jamaica was trembled by a magnitude 3.2 earthquake on Sunday afternoon, no damage was reported so far.
The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona has confirmed that a magnitude 3.2 earthquake rocked the eastern section of the island this afternoon.
The epicenter was recorded near the Blue Mountain peak at 4:50 pm (local time), said UWI officials.
However, persons in the Corporate Area and Portland reported feeling the tremor about 4:50 pm in the evening, which was described as very noticeable.
There were no reports of damage till this news was filled. The further details are awaited.
It's the fourth minor earthquake to have hit Jamaica in two months. In early September, the island was jolted by a 5.2 magnitude earthquake, about two weeks later the island was hit yet again by a tremor, with a magnitude of 4.6 and in the first week of October Jamaica was hit by a magnitude 3.9 earthquake.
Caribbean neighbour, Haiti was rattled by a 5.9 magnitude tremor earlier this month.
According to the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, about 200 earthquakes are located in and around Jamaica per year most of which are minor, having magnitudes less than 4.0.
The largest and most damaging natural disaster in Jamaica was the famous Port Royal earthquake of June 7, 1692, It was felt island-wide and a part of Port Royal sank into the sea. It was reported that at least 2,000 persons died as a result of an outbreak of yellow fever, which developed after the quake.
