Two drug operations in Grenada have made discoveries of compressed cannabis.

A joint move by the police’s drug squad and the Grenada Coast Guard unit found 10 bags of weed on Isle De Rhonde.

No arrests have been made in connection with this haul, and police investigations are continuing.

In another drugs bust, a passengers bus was searched in St George which led to the arrest of Marissa Darbeau.

The 37-year-old resident of Victoria, St Mark, was apprehended after officers found South American compressed cannabis in her carrier bag.

Darbeau appeared before St George’s Magistrate Court last week and was bailed for EC$8,000.

She is due back in court on 9 February 2018.
