Dominica: The seventh session of the tenth Parliament would be held on Monday 28 June 2021, at 10 am.

Minister with responsibility for telecommunications and broadcasting, Senator Oscar George, listed some of the bills that would be brought before Parliament on Monday.

"Dominica's cabinet has approved the following bills for consideration by Parliament: The Fiscal Responsibility Bill, which seeks to define a rules-based fiscal responsibility framework for Dominica to guide and anchor the government's fiscal policy. A bill amending the law on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Accounting Information Act number 6 of 2019, and the bill amending the Companies Act will be introduced as part of our international obligations to open tax information and transparent exchange," Minister explained.

Senator George noted that a bill repealing the International Business Enterprises Act, Chapter 78:01, would also be introduced. The Dominica Hospital Authority bill will also be introduced as Dominica's government continues to develop and modernize the country's healthcare sector.

"Finally, in line with the government's commitment to transform the health sector in Dominica, the Dominica Hospital Authority Bill will be introduced to provide for the establishment of the Dominica Hospital Authority, the administration and management of the hospitals and health facilities," said George.
