‘Meet Me In Dominica, Summer 2017’ runs until the end of August

Discover Dominica Authority has launched a summer campaign, aimed at getting people in the Caribbean to head over to the Nature Island.

‘Meet Me In Dominica, Summer 2017’ has been designed to attract those in the region to enjoy Dominica’s “adventure, nature and events for singles, couples and families”, according to a press release.

Colin Piper, Dominica’s tourism director, said: “Dominica is the destination of choice when thinking of adventure, and with 2017 labelled as the Year of Adventure, Dominica has positioned itself to embrace visitors from the region and beyond for an unforgettable experience in Dominica”.

The summer campaign runs from 1 June until 31 August.

“Collaboration is key in the sustainability of tourism, as such a number of properties and tour operators have come onboard with the DDA, to offer exciting specials and activities all in an effort to ensure that every day of your vacation is a day spent outside enjoying the Nature Island,” Piper added.

The tourism director believes that Dominica’s digital offering is a key aspect of the campaign.

“With our consumers seeking up-to-date and immediate information, our digital components of the campaign will seek to strategically target the right audience,” he said.

‘Meet Me In Dominica, Summer 2017’ comes on the heels of the successful Jazz ‘n Creole Festival held on the island over the last week.

And later this year will see even more melodies in the air, with Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival taking place from 27 October to 29 October.
