Caribbean flights cancelled as Tropical Storm Harvey takes hold

The passage of Tropical Storm Harvey across the eastern Caribbean has led to the cancellation of several LIAT flights today.

This follows seven routes being grounded yesterday.

Flights cancelled today (Friday, 18 August) are:

LI304 from St Vincent to Barbados

LI374 from Barbados to St Lucia

LI375 from St Lucia to Barbados

LI308 from Trinidad to Grenada

LI308 from Grenada to Barbados

Flight LI310, Trinidad and Tobago to St Vincent, will now depart Port of Spain at 8am instead of 6am.

“In the interest of passenger safety and to ensure our aircraft are positioned at operational airports, several flights have been retimed and/or cancelled,” said LIAT in a statement.

“LIAT also wishes to advise that passengers who decide to travel but are unable to complete their journey due to disruption caused by weather conditions, will not be provided with meals, transportation, hotel accommodation etc.

“Passengers with onward connections are advised to contact the respective regional and international carriers.”

LIAT passengers who are affected by Tropical Storm Harvey changes will be allowed to rebook within the next two weeks with all change fees waived.
