The Barbados Photographic Society is all set to host the '20 Years of Light' Photographic Exhibition from January 13 to February 10, 2024.  The Barbados Photographic Society (BPS) was founded on an appreciation for and interest in photography. The event is being held in collaboration with the National Cultural Foundation of Barbados. The Barbados Photographic Society is celebrating its 20th year with a physical exhibition. The event will involve curated photography from the talented members of the Barbados Photographic Society community.  The BPS has extended an invitation to all the citizens and residents to the opening of its 20th anniversary photographic exhibition on Saturday, January 13, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Queen's Park Gallery. The visitors will get a chance to witness the captivating journey through a lens, showcasing talent, artistry and creativity through this visual storytelling.  It is to be noted that a photographic print will be presented to one lucky person at 8 pm, and only persons present during the time of drawing will be eligible to receive the print.  The opening hours of the exhibition are 10 am to 6 pm from Monday to Saturday, while on Sunday, it will remain closed.  The closing ceremony of the exhibition will be hosted on Saturday, February 10, 2024, marking the end of this annual event.  In anticipation of this exhibition, several workshops were held in December 2023 to ensure that all those interested in submitting are prepared and understand the standard of work expected to be delivered to the gallery. The society's 20 years was also celebrated virtually on November 15 with the 'Bajan Life' event.  The first exhibition under the theme "Bajan Life" was a virtual exhibition which showcased the finest work of twenty-four (24) members, new and seasoned, of the society.
