Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) upgraded the High Surf Advisory for the western coastlines of Barbados as a result of the frontal system till Monday evening. A high surf advisory is issued when wave action poses a threat to life and property within the surf zone.
The marines are forecasted to remain moderate in open water with north swells, ranging between 1.5 to 2.5 meters, which is almost equal to 5 to 8 feet.

Further, it is recommended that beachgoers use beaches with lifeguard life-guard stations. This activity is supposed to be continued until Monday.
Key takeaways

- While dipping into the water, one should ensure the use of on-duty lifeguards near beaches for safety and security while jumping onto the water.
