Bahamas: A woman got forcibly abducted and sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend who is the Member of Parliament (MP) of Abaco, Kirk Cornish. She asserted that he pried her legs open and forced himself on her. While narrating the story of what happened with her, the woman claimed that she and her ex boyfriend were in an Airbnb in the Stapleton area, where they were sitting on the couch in the living room. And, she had a call. While she was talking on a call, she said something which her boyfriend did not like and suddenly became so angry. His rage was becoming out of control and he went to the kitchen, came up with the knife and attempted to stab her. She mentioned, he placed a knife on her throat. And, the situation became so worsen for her. She said, “I was afraid I saw my life flash before my eyes.” She added that later that night she was laying on the bed and her boyfriend, Cornish entered the room, turned her over and raped her. Further, she mentioned the same story as before. She added, MP Cornish pried her legs apart to rape her in her own residence in Cooperstown, Abaco. She narrated that the MP came to her home when she did not answer his call because she was already on a call with her friend from Canada. He went to her and forcibly removed her pants and underwear, she resisted by clamping her legs together. He then said, “release your legs, you want me to break your legs?” She mentioned that the incident became so horrible as her ex-boyfriend crossed all the limits. She added that while doing all such things, the MP shouted at her, “ this is what you want. You want the monster. You got it.” She claimed that Cornish has done all such actions to her multiple times. Adding to it, once they both were in her yard where he got upset and stabbed her in the eye multiple times with his finger. And, on the same day, while they were in the vehicle, he threatened her by quoting, “put a bullet through her head.” Now the question arises why she did not report when she had the first incident? To this, she responded, they were in a relationship and she did not want to embarrass him.
