Armed robbers went on the rampage at the end of June, holding two families in the Spring Hill area of Nevis at gunpoint and escaping with large sums of money.

Robbers attempted to break into a third home, but were scared off by the occupant.

Police said they are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending individuals connected to the armed robbery incidents on 30 June.

“The first incident occurred just after 4 am at a home in Spring Hill where Brett Floyd, Lauren Gosse, Sandy Dell and McLain Reese are vacationing," according to a statement from the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

"Preliminary investigations so far have revealed that three unknown, masked assailants broke into the house and held them at gunpoint and demanded money.

The statement added that the gunmen made off with a sum of money and two cell phones.

WIC News understands that no one was harmed during that incident.

Police also responded to a report from the home of Roger Tooze in Spring Hill.

“Preliminary investigations have revealed that a noise was heard at the door of the home and when checks were made, a male figure was seen standing outside the glass front door. However, the resident managed to scare off the perpetrators and, as a result, three individuals were seen running away from the property,” the police force said.

In the third incident, three unknown, masked assailants entered another home in Spring Hill.

“Oliver Zuber-Kaldenbach and his family were held up at gun point and the gunmen demanded money. The assailants escaped with a large sum of money. No one was injured during the incident,” police said.

Early reports had stated that four Americans were robbed at gunpoint. The police report did not state the nationalities of the other victims held at gunpoint and robbed.
