Antigua Superyacht Challenge returns for 13th edition this March

The event will be held at Nelson's Dockyard, which is the perfect place to centre social activities and moor up all the yachts together. It also provides the perfect environment for enjoying the Caribbean hospitality and the popular Super Yacht Challenge parties.

The 13th edition of the Antigua Superyacht Challenge is set to take place from March 11 to 17, 2024. Yachts in excess of 80 feet will be participating in this exciting challenge, which will be held just before the St. Barths Bucket Regatta.  The event will be happen at Nelson's Dockyard, which is the perfect place to centre social activities and moor up all the yachts together. It also provides the perfect environment for enjoying the Caribbean hospitality and the popular Super Yacht Challenge parties. The four-day event begins and ends just off the beautiful English Harbor and uses the ORCsy Rating rule.  Now in its 13th edition, the Superyacht Challenge Antigua is an exciting event designed to be solely for the pleasure of superyacht owners, their guests and crew.

This annual event awards the Gosnell Trophy to the overall winner of the competition. Each competing yachts and the rach committee cast one vote for the participants who compete in the Spirit of the Regatta both ashore and afloat.  Last year's winner of the Antigua Superyacht Challenge was John McMonigall's Oyster 82 Zig Zag. He participated in the 7th regatta in a row and won the Gosnell Trophy on two occasions. The Superyacht Challenge Antigua is an invitational event which is open to superyachts in excess of 30 metres, but yachts of 25 metres can also request entry.  The Oyster 82 Zig Zag (25m) is anticipated for her eighth regatta in a row as last year Zig Zag won the Gosnell Trophy for the second time. The Challenge is hosted by the Admiral's Inn and Antigua Rigging in collaboration with National Parks Antigua. Notably, the stand-alone Round Antigua Race will also be held before the final race as the curtain-opener for the Superyacht Challenge Antigua. This will be a practice race for the magnificent superyacht fleet. People are excited to participate in this event which is known to be among the best regatta events in the Caribbean.
