Adults to pay increased boat fare between St Kitts and Nevis

Adults travelling on one of the passenger vessels that provides service between Basseterre, St Kitts and Charlestown, Nevis will have to dig deeper into their pockets from Monday, 27 May 2019.
The fares for children and students in uniform will remain the same.
M&M Transportation Services, operators of the Carib Surf have informed the travelling public that as of Monday, 27 May 2019, the fare for one-way between St Kitts and Nevis will increase from EC$25 to EC$30.
Children under the age of 12 years will continue to pay EC$20. The EC$15 fare for students in uniform remains the same.
No reason was given for the increase in the fare for adults.
