PM Skerrit makes a visit to west coast bridges with Chinese dignitaries
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit himself visited these two bridges being built on the west coast.

Few days after the government of Commonwealth of Dominica and Chinese Ambassadors inaugurated the first phase of Dominica-China hospital, all these dignitaries went ahead to visit the construction sites of bridges being built by China Aid in the West Coast of Dominica.
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit himself accompanied the Chinese dignitaries to the West Coast bridge construction sites.
During his visit, Prime Minister said that the bridges of this highway were completely devastated by the hurricane, the EO Leblanc highway is a major highway thus main idea behind reconstructing these bridges were to keep the traffic moving along with the construction work in process, throughout the construction no inconvenience was caused to the public.
PM also said that these bridges are significant and major investment to the west coast and it fits the country's course of becoming the first climate-resilient nation in the world. After the storm Erika, the government has promised to build bridges that could stand the natural catastrophes.
PM also thanked the People’s Republic of China for their friendship and aid to the country. PM acknowledged the solidarity shown by China to Dominica after the devastating hurricane.
Skerrit said, “China is a country on which we can rely on, they have stood with Dominica in good and bad times and we stand firmly on the point of ‘One China Policy’.
“We are thankful to the government of China, China Aid, Construction Company and the ambassadors for their support, we know at the end of time we would receive an outstanding structure,” said Skerrit.
Prime minister also said that the numbers of students who’ve finished their studies of engineering in China are coming back to Dominica to contribute in their nation and we also have some other projects with the People’s Republic of China to provide education to the students.
