Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne tests COVID-19 positive
Gaston Browne- Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, tested positive for COVID-19. As per reports, he is showing only mild symptoms and currently doing fine.

During his weekly show, Browne stated that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, took another test on Saturday, and tested positive again. He said contact tracing is underway, and his immediate family members tested negative for the virus.
Browne, who initially took the Covid-19 vaccination two years ago, received a booster. He believes he may have got the disease during recent business visits.
"Within the last week, I was in Barbuda hosting a few Europeans, then I travelled to the Bahamas, then to Miami, and finally back home.I'm always exposed because of my job," he explained.Browne also suspects two other countries where the virus could have been transmitted. "Perhaps my exposure occurred when I removed my mask to dine at a restaurant, if not in Barbuda, then in Miami," he speculated.
Despite the fact that Covid is a lethal disease that poses a serious threat to everyone who contracts it, Browne feels that based on his symptoms, he could be cleared in a "matter of days."
"Aside from these little congestions, I'm in good health; my oxygen levels are normal." I am in good health. I haven't lost my appetite or sense of taste. I'm not suffering from a headache or a fever. I feel exactly as strong," said Browne.
The prime minister was given the Moderna shot vaccine weeks before it was made available to the general public on the island, a choice for which he was roundly chastised.
