Trinidad: Man sexually assaults 16-year-old after robbing her residence

The police officials have launched an investigation into the incident and are searching for the man who undertook this brutal act.
According to the officials, the identity of the victim has been kept private because of the sensitive nature of the report. Police officials said that the incident took place around 2:30 pm on Monday in Marebella, Trinidad and Tobago.It was reported that the teenager was alone at home when she suddenly heard a voice coming from the kitchen area, leading her to make checks and find an unknown man armed with a knife at her home.
Following this, the armed man asked her to get back and pressed the sharp weapon against her throat. The man asked her to give her phone and cash and also took various other items of high value from the residence.After robbing the place, the suspect forced the teenager to perform sexual acts on him, following which he fled the scene on foot.
As soon as he left the place, the victim notified the incident to the police officials, following which she was taken for medical treatment at the Princes Town District Health Facility.The officials are also urging the general public to help them in finding the suspect and have released the description as explained by the teenager.
The description of the suspect is as follows: a man who appeared to be of mixed descent, dark brown in complexion, medium built, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, with hair covering his entire face, wearing dark colour clothing with a red bandana around his neck.Police have asked anyone with information to report the Marabella Police Station and added that the investigations are continuing, with the officials looking everywhere for the suspect.
