Denmark arrests Iranian opposition members suspected of spying for Saudis

Tuesday, 4th February 2020

Three driving individuals from an Iranian Arab restriction bunch have been captured in Denmark and accused of spying for Saudi Arabia.

The three, who lives in Denmark, were for some time associated with connections to rebels who assaulted an Iranian military procession in September 2018, killing 24 individuals.

Danish police say the three are in the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (ASMLA).

Ethnic Arabs live in oil-rich Ahvaz, south-western Iran.

Denmark's PET knowledge administration blames the three for having kept an eye on people in Denmark somewhere in the range of 2012 and 2018 and having given data to Saudi insight.

One of those charged was purportedly focused by Iranian knowledge in a 2018 death plot, which was frustrated by Danish police.

PET Director-General Finn Borch Andersen called it "an intense case" including: "We can't and won't acknowledge that outside states carry their shared clashes to this nation."

Danish police captured ASMLA suspects right now in Ringsted in 2018

In November 2018 suspected ASMLA activists were captured in Ringsted, a community 60km (37 miles) from Copenhagen.
