"This extensive suitability is very important to our tourism business, and we are proud of our efforts to get this industry going."
However, it is not clear which ship members received the doses first.
Up to 1,000 COVID-19 vaccination shots per day can be provided to crew members, shore and waterfront personnel, in line with the recommendations released by the Federal Centers for Disease Control this week to return to the US. Port Canaveral officials consulted the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Cross-Line Operators, as well as the CDC to develop its vaccination model to get vaccines given out efficiently and quickly to crew members and outsiders. The Port of Galveston also plans to offer the vaccine crew members next week when visiting the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Vista. The board of trustees of the Port of Galveston announced the new plan during a meeting on Tuesday. Through a partnership with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), the Pfizer vaccine will be made available to crew members.Monika Walker is an experienced journalist specializing in global political developments and international relations.
