Residents in Castries have been advised that there is a planned interruption in their water supply today.
The Water and Sewerage Company (WASCO) announced that areas from Cul de Sac to Cap Estate will be without water from five o’clock this morning.
WASCO Customer Service Manager Zilta George Leslie appealed for patience from the public.
“It may take some time for the pressures to build up, especially in areas of high elevation,” she said.
“So because of this we’re asking you to bear with us and we’re asking you to store as much water as possible for that period of time.”
There was disruption earlier this week, with WASCO forced to shut down water supplies on Monday night to allow for the repair of a damaged line.
WASCO discovered a severe leak on one of its lines that needed urgent attention during routine maintenance works on the line running from the John Compton Dam to the Ciceron treatment plant, said water services manager Jim King.
Residents of Babonneau who receive water from the Hill 20 system will not be affected.
