Drew said that these bus drivers were pushed out of the normal parking area the day before without consultation after the traffic lights were turned on.
He said a proper method could have been followed by doing a meeting with all stakeholders, which would have avoided the incident that took place."More surprising was that someone called the police when a simple conversation could have avoided that," said Drew.
Drew talked to the bus operators and said he would be their voice to bring about positive change to satisfy the needs of the stakeholders ( bus operators, the passengers and the residents of College Street).
"I am asking that the bus operators be shown the respect they deserve. I call on the St.Peter's Bus Association to represent the drivers in this debacle. Lastly, I ask that bathroom services be immediately provided and a bus station like other areas and again call for resurfacing of the St. Peter's main road. The only part of the main island road not done," said Drew.
