Internal row between Vanuatu government triggers step back of International Advisory firm
The international government advisory, CS Global Partners (CSGP) is likely to step back from assisting the Government of Vanuatu in re-structuring its Economic Citizenship Programme.  As per a source in the Citizenship Commission of Vanuatu, political turmoil in the South Pacific Ocean island is the primary reason behind this decision of the overseas advisory firm.   Cronulla News, a media house based in Australia had done the news initially, noting the CSGP authorities aren't pleased and satisfied by the working of the multi-island country. It has asked the Vanuatu government to resolve their issues first, after which the international company will re-think to continue their contract.   This can cause a massive defeat to the country's Economic Citizenship Programme, proving to be an obstacle in its re-designing. It is being believed that the Vanuatu Government worked for two years to convince CS Global Partners.  Over 50% of Vanuatu's total GDP relies on its citizenship by investment programme, which has assisted the south pacific multi-island nation to develop its infrastructure.  According to Cronulla News, the country has two investment options, which no one is aware of despite the fact that an agent in Hong Kong is operating it.  The source in the Citizenship Commission (CBI Unit) expressed concern over the country's mismanagement of the citizenship programme amid its feuds within and with the opposition.  "They noted that handling any Citizenship by Investment Programme is susceptible for the nation's economy, and the distractions within a nation's government can create more complications which might also have a worse impact on the entire CBI programme," added the source in a conversation with the Cronulla news.   In relation to the above statement, the source highlighted, "The overseas company told the commission that Vanuatu needs to do a lot of work to make CBI Programme a victorious, including thorough studies, examinations and execution of plans, noting that a supportive infrastructure in a government is a must".  It seems like the Vanuatu government will be slapping on its feet if it fails to resolve its internal matters and losing such a giant firm and its citizenship programme too. CSGP officials highlighted that it wouldn't be able to work if these political rivalries continue to pursue, as the firm requires a safer and more encouraging environment to work.  Vanuatu government was lashed out by the European Union for not being able to run its economic citizenship programme effectively, concerning due diligence as the main factor. After which, the government partnered with FACT and CS Global Partners to re-establish and market its citizenship programme.
