Jamaica: A 15-year-old student who had run away from her home in St James, Jamaica for more than six months ago found dead along with her boyfriend at a residence in the parish of Roehampton on Wednesday.

Toni-Ann Antoinette Reid, a teenager, and Oshane Spence, 25, were murdered in their four-bedroom home in the Holiday Rock neighbourhood of Roehampton.

Toni's father, Ann's Albert Reid, informed local reporters that he had no knowledge his daughter was still in Roehampton when she left home.

"All these months passed, and I was unaware that my daughter was living nearby, she changed her appearances that I could not even recognize her. She bleached up and got so slim".

Toni-Ann's father also said that he cautioned his daughter to stay away from Spence (her boyfriend) because he appeared to be the trouble maker. But, she ignored his concerns and left home anyways.

"When I heard my daughter had involvements with Oshane Spence, I got so concerned, I tried to tell my daughter to stay away from him, but she didn't listen to me," said her father.

Sharing the stories of his daughter, the father Reid said he used to comb her hair and send her to school," I cannot believe that my daughter is dead,".

As per reports, Toni-Ann and her boyfriend Spence were at home when men with high-powered rifles kicked open back door to their apartment shortly after 2:30 a.m. They bursted into the room and showered the couple with gunshots, instantly killing both of them.

According to investigators, Spence had been on the police radar for some time. He had been hauled up for interrogation on several occasions in connection with various criminal activities in the community.

The police also indicated that they have not been able to come up with a motive for the double homicide, which comes after a triple homicide in the parish on Monday night and another homicide on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday afternoon, another man was slain. So far in 2022, there have been ten murders in St James, while multiple others across Jamaica.
