The White House called for assistance, says SKN PM Timothy Harris
During programme on Winn FM, PM Harris made this announcement.

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris addressed the inhabitants of the twin-island nation through a radio programme on Saturday evening where he discussed what the new normal would be for the country amid these COVID-19 crises.
Prime Minister stated that in this situation even the largest and the strongest nation require assistance from one another, "We got a call from the situation room in the White House, substance of the discussion was that they needed assistance in the production of parts required for ventilators."
He added that after the call from the White House, the government marshalled the team of health professionals to come up with a plan to determine which is why they were later able to give support the efforts.
The leader stated that this has given us a lesson that we all reside in a shared world
As per the leader, the government has succeeded in receiving an all society responses during in April and things are going as per the plan of the administration to control the contamination of the virus.
"Our plan has been an example of a well-managed response to this pandemic, since January, health professionals had begun their consultations and preparation to provide the government with guidelines to deal with the pandemic." added the Prime Minister.
Furthermore, he stated that COVID-19 has been brutal and severely impacted economies worldwide resulting as significant changes.
As per the Prime Minister the country has taken quick actions to handle the crisis in the country and situation in St Kitts and Nevis is far better than other Caribbean nations.
Notably, St Kitts and Nevis have a state of emergency for a prolonged period of six months. The country so far has 9 COVID-19 positive patients. Besides this, no patient is critically ill and fortunately, no deaths are recorded in this twin-island nation.
