The global Christian community celebrated Easter on Sunday; all Caribbean leaders also sent out good wishes to their followers on a holy day. Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, Minister of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment Dr Irving McIntyre, Minister for Planning, Economic Development Vince Henderson sent out greetings through social media.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit wrote a biblical verse wishing people Happy Easter.

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." - John 11:25-26. May you have a Blessed and Holy Easter with your loved ones," wrote Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.

"Greetings to all, May you experience peace and joy as you celebrate the glory of our risen Lord this Easter. I am wishing you an abundance of blessings, health, peace and happiness. Happy Easter Sunday," wrote Health Minister Dr Irving McIntyre.

"Happy Easter, everyone. God's many blessings on you and your families. Wishing you a blessed Sunday, for this is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it," wrote Vince Henderson.

Dr Adis King, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, also sent out greetings and said the most valuable gift of Easter is hope.

"Easter is designed to represent hope, regeneration, and new life. Easter proclaims we have been reborn because of our Lord's ultimate sacrifice. As a result, in Man's Search for the True Meaning of Easter, we recognize that we have no influence over what happens to us in difficult circumstances," wrote Minister King.

"Let us consider John 14: 18 today, as we commemorate Jesus Christ's resurrection. 'I will not abandon you in your hour of need: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also," she further wrote.
