World Creole Festival begins in the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Three-day long World Creole Music Festival has started in the Roseau city in the Commonwealth of Dominica. The music festival which is quite popular among foreigners helps in the tourism industry of the country.
World Creole Music Festival is celebrating its 21st edition where more tourists are expected than last year. As per Colin Piper, Chief Executive of Discover Dominica the 2018 festival attracted around 23,000 visitors over a period of three years and these numbers are expected to get bigger this time.
All the six ferries that sailed to the island between Thursday and this day are said to be full as visitors from neighboring Islands are making their way to the Nature Isle for the World Creole Music Festival.
As there are not many hotels ready yet, so communities in the country have opened their doors to facilitate the tourists, but new hotels that are expected to get started by next year will ease the accommodations for the tourists, said Piper.
On the first day of the event, Afrobeats star Davido who is known for hits such as 'Fall' and 'If' gave his performance. Davido who dropped his latest single ‘Risky’ on Thursday is loved among the audience.
Soca siren Patrice Roberts, Dominican Bouyon star Asa Banton, Dominican band WCK and the leading dancehall singer from Dominica, Colton T. are among the famous singers that mesmerized the audience with their lovely songs and music.
