Unidentified man shoots 28-year-old multiple times, leaving him dead

Bahamas: A 28-year-old male became the victim of a recent shooting incident which took place shortly before 9 pm on Wednesday, January 10.
The incident which occurred at Bell Close, Montell Heights, is being actively investigated by police officials.As per the information available, the victim, along with a female friend, were leaving relatives of the female when the victim's vehicle experienced mechanical difficulties, which caused them to wait inside the car.
As they both were waiting for someone to come, a male dressed in dark clothes along with a ski mask approached the car, opened the side door of the driver seat and shot the victim several times before fleeing the area and making a good escape. The victim was later transported to the hospital by the officials of emergency medical services, who responded to a request for a shooting incident within 10 minutes of the report.As the EMS was treating him, the victim succumbed to his injuries after a short time. Meanwhile, the police officials added that during the incident, the female was unharmed, and she rushed to her relative's home, where she sought refugee.
The police officials are demanding the members of the general public who may have any information regarding the matter to contact at 919/911, the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991/2, or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477).
It is to be noted that on Thursday also, the Bahamas recorded a double shooting incident where two adult females aged 23 and 24 were hospitalized. The incident took place around 1:30 am on January 11, 2024, at the Rosedale Street off Wulff Road.As per the preliminary investigation, the females were inside a vehicle when a male known to them fired numerous gunshots into the car, which resulted in both females being shot.
The police officials revealed that both the females were in serious condition and were being treated in a hospital. An investigation into the matter has been launched to identify the cause of the attack and find the suspects who carried out this brutal act.
