Notably, the island began celebrating its 50th independence on January 3, 2024, and these festivities will continue until February 10, with a major celebration, 'The Golden Jubilee Celebration,' on February 7.

The 2024 Independence is bigger than ever as the island celebrates Grenada's 50th anniversary of independence. This is the nationals' chance to showcase their patriotism, devotion, and love for Grenada with an original piece under the theme "One People, One Journey, One Future".

To mark the golden jubilee, the GTA has also released "Grenada 50 - Up From Here," the 50th-anniversary theme song.

While presenting the song to the nation, Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell said, "It's not just a song; it's a celebration of who we are as a nation. This song beautifully captures the essence of our Independence theme, "One People, One Journey, One Future."
