The High Court judge added that she was crying without water and that came out in the evidence, showcasing the huge impact which she is suffering after the incident.
Meanwhile, the mother of the victim said that she has lost her child following the incident and is trying to find her. She added that her daughter has put up a mental block which the mother cannot get through it.
She also added that she missed the girl’s bubbly personality and remembers the times when she was happy as now the victim has not interest in socializing with friends.
During the court judgement, Justice Burnett stated that children and young people are likely to suffer a range of psychological and behavioural problems after they experience sexual assault. He also added that they can range from mild to serious and can present challenges in the short and long term.
The suspect will now be suffering eight years of imprisonment because of the brutal act he committed with the child at that time.
