St Kitts and Nevis government is taking advice from senior health officials to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic on the twin-island nation stated the nation's Attorney General and Chairman of National Disaster Mitigation Council, Vincent Byron at National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) COVID-19 Daily Briefing.

As per Attorney General of St Kitts and Nevis, the medical fraternity and the chief medical officer and all the medical professionals are taking the pandemic extremely seriously and giving out thorough advice which is being followed by the government.

Attorney-General Byron announced that so far the information and advice from the senior health officials has been advantageous.

“The policy that they have put in position for some weeks has been efficient, and it will be followed until the nation is ready to relax like before the pandemic.” added the Attorney-General.

Furthermore, he stated that the government is grateful to all those healt-officials working tirelessly to curb the situation of COVID-19 in St Kitts and Nevis and keeping people protected.

"We are very comforted that we have professionals of their ilk and we have a debt of gratitude to them.”

In answer to the questions, the attorney-general stated that at present, he would not want to give a time frame until additional data and further advice are received from medical professionals.

He expressed thanks to the hard-working and dedicated team of medical practitioners for a job well done and encouraged them to continue to work to ensure that the citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis are protected.
