PM Harris still mum on alleged missing campaign funds

As questions continue to be asked by former People’s Labour Party (PLP) executive members Clecton Phillip and Douglas Wattley, St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris remains mum on the question of alleged missing funds from the campaign funds.
Phillip and Wattley have repeatedly alleged that Harris has not properly accounted for some ten million dollars of contributions the PLP collected from donors for the 2015 election campaign.
Wattley has made it clear that at the right time, he will reveal more information on the matter. Speculation is rife that Wattley is referring to the upcoming election campaign period when he says “at the right time”.
The opposition St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party has said that the allegations are further evidence of what they call the culture of corruption being practiced by the ruling Team Unity administration.
In the past times, Leader of Team Unity refrained to answer the question being put by Wattley. However, Wattley aforementioned that the point is of utmost attention.
Apart from this, Wattley during his popular talk show ‘The Rebuttal’ on Kyss 102.5 FM said that the current government is a royal waste of time and they have failed in every aspect of the functionalities of government. The only thing this government gets high marks for is corruption.”
He also mentioned that when it comes to corruption that is the thing they lead in the polls and they leading in real life. Corruption is the name of the game for this government and here they are hoping to remain in the government.
Wattley alleged the government of wanting to use all the tricks in the book to win an election and stay in the government. He also added that the government has started to panic now. There is a lot of talks in SKN that why PM Harris is mum over the issue.
