PM Drew joins Minister Ien, Ambassador Lilian Chatterjee at bilateral breakfast

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew was delighted to join Marci Ien, Canada Minister of Women and Gender Affairs and Youth and Ambassador Lilian Chatterjee at the La Cuchina Restaurant, St. Kitts Marriott Resort for a bilateral breakfast on Friday (January 5).
While marking the session, "It was a delightful start to a day filled with insightful discussions and collaborations. Hon Ien is the esteemed guest speaker for the Gala this evening," PM Drew noted.
As per the information, Isalean Phillip, Senator and the Junior Minister in the Ministry of Social Development, Youth Empowerment, Gender Affairs, Aging and Disabilities in St Kitts and Nevis, had the privilege of hosting this breakfast.
Also, this was called 'Breakfast Diplomacy in Action'. It comprised a period of active discussions and collaborations about their respective nations enjoyed by Prime Minister Terrance Drew and other present delegates.
Minister Ien, who was also the esteemed guest speaker for the Grand Gala evening, brought a wealth of knowledge and experiences to the table.
On the same day, Minister Ien was also led on a tour to the National Assembly Chambers at Government Headquarters with several delegates.
The Ambassador of Canada to St Kitts and Nevis, Lilian Chatterjee, Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Mauriel Knight, along with the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Senator Isalean Phillip and members of the St Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA) was also there by her side.
The tour was followed by an official dialogue with the Executive and Members of SKNYPA in the Parliamentary Lounge, where several social issues were raised and discussed.
Further, she also attended a meeting at the CFBC Main Campus on Burdon Street on the very day (Friday). The Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities, Government of Canada, officially convened this meeting in collaboration with the High Commission from Canada to St Kitts.
This meeting aimed to discuss potential collaboration opportunities between CFC and institutions in Canada to achieve common goals and create a positive impact among other nations worldwide.
