Two men have been charged by police in Antigua and Barbuda for stealing hurricane relief items from the country’s National Office of Disaster Services (NODS).
All Saints resident Dion Browne and Everton Waldron, of Bolans village, are both suspected of larceny.
Browne is alleged to have taken “food and household items” belonging to NODS and worth EC$3,105.20, said the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.
Waldron is accused of the same thing, but the items were valued at EC$20,205.79.
The crimes are alleged to have occurred between June 2017 and January 2018.
In addition to larceny, both have also been charged with receiving stolen goods.
When the crimes took place, Brown was employed by NODS as a relief manager, and Waldron was a driver.
The duo are expected in court later today (10 January).
