NO change in fuel prices for citizens of Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda: In a major relief for the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, the Government has not announced any changes to the prices of fuel products despite huge increases from the West Indies Oil Company.

According to the information, the WIOC has reported an increase of 5 percent in the prices of gasoline and 3 percent decline in the cost of diesel.

As per the refined pass-through mechanism for the prices of fuel products, which takes into account price stability, revenue assurance, and maintenance of subsidies for certain petroleum products, the Government has decided not to make any changes to the retail prices at the petrol pump. Effective from Wednesday, the prices of fuel will remain the same as earlier, which are as follows: Diesel - $14.25 per gallon Gasoline - $14.50 per gallon 20 Pound LPG Cooking Gas - $32 per bottle 25 Pound LPG Cooking Gas - $40 per bottle 100 Pound LPG Cooking Gas - $155 per Cylinder

It is to be noted that the average regional prices for diesel and gasoline are presently $15.91 and $15.86, respectively, while the regional average for the 20-pound and the 100-pound LPG Cylinder costs $38.66 and $204.18, respectively.

This shows that the country has maintained the lowest prices of fuel products in the Caribbean region. Meanwhile, in order to support affordability for consumers, the Government continues to provide subsidies, which are as follows: On a 20-pound LPG Cylinder, the government provides a subsidy of $5.16 per bottle On a 25 Pound LPG Cylinder, the government provides a subsidy of $6.45 per bottle On a 100 Pound LPG Cylinder, the government provides a subsidy of $17.64 per cylinder

This showcases the commitment and dedication of the government towards the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda. The administration is working to keep the citizens burden as low as it can by providing these subsidies and maintaining the low prices of fuel products.
