Grenada records first COVID-19 case

Health Minister Nikolas Steele in media conference said the first laboratory-confirmed case was diagnosed today, March 22.It is an imported case and therefore, the patient has been isolated to stop the spread of the disease.
The Minister said the feminine patient arrived in Grenada from the UK on March 16 and have become symptomatic on St Patrick's Day and was subsequently tested. She is exhibiting mild symptoms.
The Health Minister has assured that Grenada’s capable medical team has been actively following up and engaging in contracting.
Moves are already going down to isolate persons who were in grips with the patient.
The Health Ministry has reported the COVID-19 confirmation to the globe Health Organisation (WHO) and therefore, the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO).
