Dominica's PM Roosevelt Skerrit congratulates Dr Ralph Gonsalves for fifth consecutive term in SVG
Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit congratulated PM of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for another term in office.

Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit congratulated PM of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for another term in office. Dr Skerrit posted his greetings on the official Facebook page.
Prime Minister of Dominica stated posted that the Government and people of the Commonwealth of Dominica extend its sincerest congratulations to the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines and leader of the Unity Labour Party, Dr. the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves on the massive victory and swearing-in for a historic fifth term of governance.
Dr Skerrit stated that he salutes the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines for their discipline and enthusiasm shown during the voting amidst a difficult global pandemic.
Furthermore, Dr Skerrit added that he looks forward to continuing their engagement with the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and its leadership.
"Democracy has truly prevailed, and the Government of Dominica under the leadership of the Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit looks forward to continued engagement." the post added.
Prime Minister Dr Skerrit also stated that Dominica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' shared commitment to the promotion of a progressive Caribbean Community, rooted in the traditions of respect, solidarity and independence, complemented by collaboration at the regional and international level, remains unwavering.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines observed general elections on November 05, 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic. The incumbent Unity Labour Party won for the fifth consecutive term by defeating their rivals New Democratic Party (NDP) led by Godwin Friday.
Unity Labour Party declared victory on nine of the fifteen parliamentary seats, adding one more seat than their previous share.
The elections during the global pandemic, however, was a considerable challenge but people followed all the protocols and guidelines during the polling.
Dominica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines shares good diplomatic relations and both are members of Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM).
