Dominica ranks 12th worldwide in managing COVID-19
The government of Dominica is following the holistic approach in constructing the Health and Wellness centers in the nation.

In the series of opening Health and Wellness centers, yesterday was the Opening of Vieille Case Health Centre.
At the time of Inaugration, Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, Minister of Health & Wellness and New Health investment-Dr Irving Mclntyre and Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau Central and wife of PM Skerrit- Melissa Poponne Skerrit and District Nurse Stella Leblanc, other cabinet members were present.
The government of Dominica is to initiate an 'Exercise Program' in the entire constituency in Dominica to make people more fit and healthy as health is the primary goal.He acknowledged every citizen who participated in the vaccination drive and safeguarded themselves with the respective vaccines. Around 11,000 thousand people have been vaccinated so far.
"We are fortunate enough to have access to the vaccine," PM Skerrit added. He appreciated the People's Republic of China and India for providing enough vaccines.
The people's Republic of China provided 20,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine, whereas India shared 70,000 jabs of Oxford Astra Zeneca Coviid-19 vaccine.
He emphasized that vaccines are the defense against COVID-19 and help to eliminate the chances of COVID-19 related hospital admissions.
"This constituency has always been in government and never in opposition; I don't think we'll ever be in opposition in ever," PM Skerrit added. Who is Nurse Stella Leblanc?He congratulated Nurse Stella Leblanc for her service. Her contribution is commendable Mrs. LeBlanc was effective in the advancement of the Primary Healthcare Programme in the Portsmouth district, where she worked as a primary healthcare nurse-midwife for over 23 years. Even in her retirement days, Mrs. LeBlanc proceeds to participate in the Vielle Case Village Council as Chairperson and Member.
PM Skerrit stated, I believe in prevention is better than cure; we must prevent people from having sick." The government of Dominica is focussing on the health, wellness, and welfare of the nation as COVID-19 is a health emergency.
"We must be positive and constructive about our nation," PM Skerrit added. Dominica ranks 12th position in the management of COVID-19 worldwide.He urged the people of Dominica to adopt an attitude like Americans as They are the prominent defenders. Despite, whatever is happening in the nation, it doesn't affect their trust. Americans always defend America, and we have to do the same as Dominicans.
