Shocking: Skeleton remains of a woman found laying floor in Guyana
Police in Guyana discovered the skeleton remains of a woman from home in East Coast Demerara. As per reports, the deceased is suspected to be a 57-year-old female of East Indian descent.

Police officials stated that Dhanmattie Paul Deopaul lived alone and always kept herself isolated, away from family, friends and neighbours. She was last seen three weeks ago, and nobody has ever heard from her since then.

The skeleton remains were discovered when her Compton Dyal, a 63-year-old businessman from Eccles, visited two storey homes. Dyal said he rang the doorbell several times but received no answer. Following the repeated callings on the door, he called the police, who discovered the skeleton remains from the kitchen floor on the first floor of her building.

Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram stated nothing is known about Dhanmattie Paul Deopau's health institution because she refused to visit one. Neighbours last saw the deceased alive approximately three weeks ago.

The forensic experts took photos of the scene and started investigations. The woman's skeleton remains were transferred to Jerrick's Funeral Parlour to be stored, and more information is being gathered.

Police said, as per initial inquiries, the house had not been broken into. Several individuals were interrogated, and statements were obtained.
