Dominica is the favourite spot for scuba divers: Reports
UK-based diving holiday experts Diverse Travel have listed the Commonwealth of Dominica as one of the favourite destinations of Scuba Divers looking for some exotic adventure.

Diverse Travel said that Dominica is one of those rare places where scuba divers want to spend so much time above and below water. The unspoiled nature lover's paradise is a haven for sustainability and ecotourism. There are many natural wonders to discover - everything from the longest hike in the Caribbean to exciting river adventures, the world heritage site of Morne Trois Pitons National Park, and, of course, watching whales or for the ultimate animal adventure - swimming with sperm whales.

Dominica's landscape has been swept through centuries of volcanic activity to create a theatrical backdrop above and below water. The mountains disappear into the blue to form deep ocean trenches, home to marine animals like many dolphins and over 20 species of whales, including the resident sperm whales for which the island is famous.

Diverse Travel said that the spectacularly beautiful island of Dominica is one of the best-kept secrets in the Caribbean. Popularly known as 'Nature Island', Dominica offers an exciting combination of lush vineyards, high peaks, and a choice of glistening waterfalls or middle rivers for every day of the year.

As per "Diverse Travel" divers will find many fascinating topographies to discover here — neat reefs, shortcuts, and walls sit alongside spikes, caves, sponge passages, and volcanic thermal springs that form underwater bubble baths for divers and snorkelers.

They said that the country gives scuba divers a chance to experience one of the best marine life encounters. It added that the island gives divers a chance to swim with the resident sperm whales in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean sea.

Visitors are hosted on private catamaran trips by just six people (three in the water at a time), which provide the unique opportunity to swim and snorkel with these beautiful creatures, as well as observe fascinating natural behaviors, and learn more about research and conservation of the expertise of private guides.
