Jamaica: Two teen girls have been reportedly missing since Monday, leaving their families in a state of anxiousness. According to the reports, 14-year old Rachel Lawrence and 13-year-old Ciara Samuels, who are said to be best friends were last seen at the Frome Technical High School after classes were dismissed. The teenagers are said to be residents of Westmoreland, Jamaica and went to school together everyday but on Monday afternoon, they didn’t returned back which caused their families to file a complaint with the police officials of Jamaica. The mother of Ciara Samuels, Maxine Drummond, said that she became worried when her daughter did not come back to their Broughton, Little London home at the usual time and added that she reported the matter to the Little London Police Officials around 7 pm.

Maxine also added that the reason behind Ciara’s Samuels could be a result of a warning she gave to her on the same day. She outlined, “I warned her that when she goes to school she must cut off her friendship with her best friend Rachel.

In addition to this, she also explained that she gave this warning as a result of her daughter’s lesser grades in exams and showing bad behaviour in her classes.

She recalled that she took her phone, laptop and asked her not to sit behind Rachel and move to front row as she cannot afford to send her to classes if she is not performing better.

Notably, Maxine also said that this is not the first time that her daughter ran away. Last time, she did the same thing in January and was later found wandering in downtown Kingston but this time it has been two days since the girls came home. The mother of two is appealing her daughter Ciara to return home. On the other hand, the parents of Rachel are anxious and are reaching out to every other household in their community of Waterworks in the parish to ask about the whereabouts of their daughter.

According to the reports, Rachel is of dark complexion and around 5 feel 2 inches tall  while Ciara is of dark complesion and around 5 feel 4 inches tall. Both girls were last seen in their school uniform comprising of a white blouse, green tunic and a pair of black shoes.
