St Lucia: Total 36 active cases as two more test positive for COVID-19
The health department of St Lucia reported on Wednesday that two more people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The total number of cases in the country is now 305.

Currently, there are over 36 active cases of coronavirus in St Lucia.
As per health authorities, case number 304 is a 24-year-old female from the Dennery district while patient number 305 is a 23-year-old male from the Castries district.Both of them were tested after reporting for symptoms at the local respiratory clinic. Both of them are placed in a quarantine facility.
Health Officials revealed that so far contact tracing is going on and epidemiologist link have been discovered for patient number 304 while the investigations are undergoing.
Besides this, one person has also recovered from coronavirus in St Lucia and remaining of the 36 active patients are also stable, and no patient is in critical health.
There have been five coronavirus related deaths in St Lucia so far.Unlike neighbouring islands, St Lucia is in a much worse condition. Recently, a tourist had also tested positive for coronavirus who was later shifted into COVID-19 facility of the country.
As Christmas is approaching, government and health authorities are advising people to celebrate the festivities with caution. People are advised to avoid large gatherings and practice social-distancing.Health officials stated that maintaining six feet of distance during last-minute Christmas shopping would keep the shopper and employee of the store away from the shadow of the virus.
People are also advised to keep their face covered with face masks and avoid touching public surfaces.
Some countries have also started to vaccine their inhabitants with Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. US President-Elect Joe Biden took the vaccine shot on live television to spread the significance of the vaccine to people.
The United Kingdom has also become the first country in the world to start the immunisation of the mass population.
