PM Drew informs citizens about status of nationals living in Taiwan following earthquake

While informing the citizens about their status, the Prime Minister said that it was three in the morning but he had to call the Ambassador to Taiwan and added that he reported that everyone is well.
In addition to this, PM Drew spoke to Ambassador Michael Lin with him reporting that every national of St Kitts and Nevis is in good health.According to the reports, this earthquake is considered the most powerful in last 25 years. The sources reported that that quake struck Taiwan’s east coast which severely affected infrastructure in the mountainous region of Hualien as well as the capital city Taipei.
The destruction caused landslides and also left some buildings leaning at precarious angles which posed challenges for rescue teams.
Furthermore, PM Terrance Drew expressed his solidarity with the people of Taiwan who have been hurt by this natural disaster. He said that the hearts and prayers of St Kitts and Nevis are with the people of Taiwan at this time and added that as the citizens continue to be safe, everyone must keep them in their prayers and thank god for keeping them safe.Several other citizens and residents expressed their condolences to the ones affected by this incident.
“Pray for our reps there also in Taiwan and the many students we have over there. I have reached out to a couple students there and they also indicated that they were doing great and in good health.
