New Royal Caribbean Cruise to sail from Cyprus in July

The Royal Caribbean cruises have announced to start fully vaccinated cruise sailing on July 10, 2021. The cruise will be visiting Piraeus and the Greek islands of Rhodes.

The Royal Caribbean cruises have announced to start fully vaccinated cruise sailing on July 10, 2021. The cruise will be visiting Piraeus and the Greek islands of Rhodes, Crete, Mykonos and Santorini, with booking opening from April 7 onwards.

Only vaccinated passengers allowed

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the cruises will only be available to adult guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and those under 18 with negative virus test results. Royal Caribbean has also announced a fully-vaccinated crew. He said RCI is aware of the eagerness of its guests. "These sailings involve a mix of fantastic destinations and must-visit islands, make for the perfect getaway,' RCI President Michael Bayley said. Furthermore, he stated that Cyprus is a beautiful island, and he is thankful to its government for their assistance and energy in making these incredible itineraries possible.

'We are fascinated that Royal Caribbean will call Limassol its homeport for the first time,' Deputy Tourism Minister Savvas Perdios said He stated that the moment had been an ambition of the country for many years, and we are thrilled that, multi-home port this dream has become to success. Perdios added the government have confidence that the Royal Caribbean’s presence in Limassol will be advantageous to Cyprus.  Similarly, the country is confident that as a home port and as a country, Cyprus will live up to the expectations of Royal Caribbean and its guests.' The news was also welcomed by Greece Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis, who said: 'Our history, culture and famous gastronomy, together with our philoxenia, will make memories to last a lifetime.'
