Nevis: Premier Mark Brantley visits Brown Hill, assesses road upgrades

St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley was thrilled to visit his hometown of Brown Hill on Thursday afternoon. The visit aimed to see firsthand the road upgrades happening there. He said that the Nevis Island Administration is also working to upgrade water and electricity at the same time. While sharing the glimpses of the ongoing development on the site, Premier Brantley said that the Minister responsible for Water Services Spencer R Brand and his team deserves every commendation for their excellent work building out the infrastructure in Nevis. Ongoing developments in Brown Hill (PC - Facebook)[/caption] Mark Brantley also extended a huge gratitude to Nevis Electricity Company Limited for their cooperation with the Ministry and for working to enhance the services. “We are on a mission to dramatically improve infrastructure across the island,” outlined Premier Brantley and added that most important for the country is that they are using local engineers, road builders, heavy equipment operators, and truck drivers and putting this government’s significant investment in equipment to good use. He said that the Nevis Island Administration is working to build Nevis for the betterment of citizens and residents. The citizens also took to Facebook to appreciate him for the continuous development his administration is undertaking. “Government serving well. Public Works in the hands of an inspired and people-centered man, so I know bit by bit all will be taken care of,” wrote a user named Oscar Browne, while another user said, “Great job! Hope Farms going up by the pre-school and beyond will be done soon.” In addition to this, Premier Mark Brantley has always shown his utmost dedication and commitment to the island. He works to not only enhance the infrastructure but also ensures that the surroundings remain clean by conducting massive clean ups every month. This time also the Premier has announced the community wide cleanup to be held free of cost on Saturday. The cleanup will aim to clean all the white goods including fridges, stoves, fans and microwaves. This clean up will be held in different areas including Cherry Gardens (next to Chimney Crescent), Bath Village (next to Alfred Shop), Brown Hill (next to Maisie Bartlette community center), Stoney Grove (close to Errol Blake’s residence).
