Melissa Skerrit to host Easter Celebrations on March 31, invites constituents to join

Dominica: Minister of Housing and Parliamentary Representative of Roseau Central, Melissa Skerrit is all set to host Easter Celebrations and is inviting all the constituents to be a part of this exciting event. The event will take place on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Pebbles Park Playground. The Commonwealth of Dominica celebrates the occasion of Easter with various events and activities. The leaders of the country host different events in their constituencies, which gives them a chance to engage with their constituents personally. While inviting everyone to be a part of this event, Minister Skerrit said, “Roseau Constituents on Sunday March 31 at Peebles Park Playground, come celebrate the Easter Season! Family, fun and festivities!”

Beginning at 3 pm, the event will feature and egg hunt, games, face painting and exciting prizes. In addition to this, participants will also get the chance to watch an Easter-themed movie on the big screen, starting at 6:30 pm.

According to the minister, popcorn and various other treats will be provided to the visitors during the movie, and Melissa Skerrit will ask everyone to bring their blankets and enjoy the movie.

Melissa Skerrit shared the development of Easter Celebrations on her official Facebook account following which the citizens and residents expressed their excitement with some even confirming their attendance in the event.

Her mother also took to the comment section to laud the Minister and said, “Excellent never a dull moment with you around your people always comes first so proud of you my darling daughter.”

A citizen named Thecla Lewis said, “These activities are an epitome of constituency engagements. Proud of you” while another wrote, “Yes yes yes another exciting event for the kids for Easter. You are always ready and prepared and well organised.”

This is not the first time that Minister Skerrit is hosting such an exciting event for her constituents, she constantly organises such events while aiming to engage with the residents of Roseau Central.
