Grenadian PM Mitchell highlights importance of resilience in Investment Migration at CIS24
In his speech, PM Mitchell highlighted the importance of Investment Migration Programmes and noted the economic impact and potential growth these programmes bring, particularly in infrastructure projects.

Grenada: Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell attended the Caribbean Investment Summit (CIS24) and delivered a powerful address under the theme ‘Resilience: Strengthening the Adaptability and Sustainability of Caribbean Investment Migration.’
In his speech, PM Mitchell highlighted the importance of Investment Migration Programmes and noted the economic impact and potential growth these programmes bring, particularly in infrastructure projects. He said that this also helps boost tourism, create jobs, and enhance the quality of life for citizens across the Caribbean region.
He also encouraged the investors to be creative and innovative while outlining the impactful investment in the migration space, which goes beyond capital.
PM Dickon Mitchell pointed out the significance of human knowledge, expertise and connections and stated that the country has in fact created significant diaspora with enhanced expertise, influence and connections which is why it is important that as the investment migration programme continues to evolve that the country taps into diaspora to assist with the continued growth and development of the Caribbean region.
The Grenadian PM further engaged in a panel discussion alongside Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, Richard Duncan, CBIC Chairman; Thomas Anthony, CEO, IMA Grenada; Charmaine Donovan, CEO, Antigua and Barbuda CIU; Mc Claude Emmanuel, CEO, CIP Saint Lucia; Michael Martin, CEO, St. Kitts and Nevis CIU; and Mary Therese, CEO, Dominica CBI.
During this discussions, the Dominican leader noted that there are several opportunities for everyone to succeed at a higher level while highlighting the many strengths and strategies each nation brings to the table.
Meanwhile, PM Mitchell discussed the economic impacts of the programme and stressed the importance of transparency. “We have an obligation to be transparent and we owe it to our partners to say this is the funds we received and this is how we used the funds,” he stated.
Another panel discussion was hosted and covered the CBI Product and Process Innovation. It featured experts in the field, including Karline Purcell, Deputy CEO of IMA Grenada; Afi Ventour de Vega, CEO of Global Services Inc.; Simon Zhao, Head of Overseas Business, Heng Sheng Group; Nicholas Stevens, CEO of NTL Trust; and Joe Rice, Senior Immigration Consultant, Global Citizen Solutions. The discussions revolved around market changes and improving processing efficiency via digitisation in application tracking and certificate.
