Leader of Opposition Trinidad and Tobago Kamla Persad Bissessar said that recently announced lockdown measures are confusing and indicative of the clueless and incompetent PM Rowley-led government.

Kamla Persad stated that the new rules would be a "knock out" strike for numbers of businesses already striving due to the collapse of the government to guarantee individual financial stability and stimulus from the first lockdown.

She stated that numerous people lost employment and incomes because of mishandling of the coronavirus crisis by the PNM government.

The opposition leader stated more employment declines are likely as many businesses will be limited to either cut workers or shut their entrances altogether.

"What is most difficult is that the government has forced this current lockdown in a complete ad hoc way. What data is the government practising to guide these lockdown measures?" questioned the leader of the opposition.

Furthermore, she stated that the government's decision to stop boats at the Bucco Reef to stop playing music is also awkward.

Lashing on Prime Minister Keith Rowley led government, Kamla Persad stated that the lockdowns have a negligible impact on PNM minister and their allies who continue to engage in arm wrestling times, golf tournaments in Tobago and grand weddings in St Clair.
