Trinidad and Tobago: In a shocking incident, a father allegedly murdered his son during an altercation at their residence in Mcloud Street, Freeport. The incident took place on Sunday around 11 pm.

The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Alex Combs, who had an argument with his father over an electronic device. According to the information, officials from the Central Division received a report of an alleged domestic disturbance at the victim’s home.

Upon receiving the report, a team of officers led by Cpl Bajan arrived at the residence only to find the teenager bleeding from a deep wound to his chest, following which he was rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility.

It was reported that the teenager succumbed to his injuries while getting treatment at the hospital. The police added that the suspect stabbed Combs once in the chest before fleeing the scene.

He tried to run after being stabbed but fainted on a chair outside his house. Meanwhile, her mother, Sabita Partap, was also at the place when the incident took place, and she said that her son loved music and expressed her anger over the fact that he died suddenly.

She told the police that the argument broke out when the suspect took the teenager’s laptop and hid it after he misbehaved. After some time, her mother made her a meal of sausage and eggs but his father who was angry with his behaviour said that he is not allowed to eat this food.

After this, Alex Combs got angry and started arguing with the male, following which the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed his son.

The victim’s grieving mother further said that his son was trying to take the knife away after he was beaten and choked by the suspect. The officials have opened an investigation into the incident and are looking for the suspect, who is presently on the run.
