Two lucky passengers were also gifted on arrival. “This newly introduced weekly service from Heathrow comes at an opportune time when Saint Lucia is drumming up even more support for an already exciting summer and the upcoming peak winter period. This also signals continued progress towards the full recovery of the tourism sector,” said Public Relations Manager- Geraine Georges. The airline is the second-largest UK based carrier, based on fleet size and passengers carried, behind easyJet. St Lucia is an Eastern Caribbean island country with a pair of dramatically tapered mountains, the Pitons, on its west coast. Its coast is home to volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts & fishing villages. Trails in the interior rainforest drive to waterfalls like the 15m-high Toraille, which flows over a cliff into a garden. St Lucia capital, Castries, is a popular cruise port. St Lucia people are also voting for a new government today, and there is a huge fight between the two parties.
