The Bahamas National School Breakfast Pilot Project (NSBPP) is a project that provides warm and healthy meals for any school participating. It provides meals thrice a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The NSBPP provides breakfast to eight schools throughout the Bahamas, four in New Providence and four spread through the Grand Bahama and the family islands. Six breakfast options are served to approximately 2000 students through their project, the project has grown substantially with their project starting with only 275 students. The Ministry for Grand Bahama shared a 2-minute update for additions to the program, Ginger Moxey, a Bahamian businesswoman and politician stated “The children are excited… this is something we decided to do to ensure that our children had healthy meals for the start of the day; it is very very critical to have this type of program because we want to ensure that our children are well fed”. She goes on to say “This pilot program will continue till the end of the year, and then they’ll be increased as time goes on”. The addition of these five additional schools will feed more than 2300 more students. The prime minister's office shared various updates including several images of Prime Minister Phillip Davis attending a meal distribution at a school on the program via Twitter. PM Davis states “All of our children should have the opportunity to reach for their dreams – and we know that when they begin their day with a warm breakfast, we are supporting their health, their learning, and their progress.”

These updates follow previous developments from September of 2023 when the government had earmarked one million USD for the project to be spread to 8 different schools throughout the region.

The Project also extended to schools where there was a greater need for this offering, after realizing that some students come in well-fed and choose to pass on their meal to someone else, the project expands whenever they are in a surplus.
