Antigua and Barbuda: Police confirmed the 28-year-old woman and her one-year-old daughter have been discharged from hospital, having sustained minor injuries in an accident on Market Street on Wednesday morning. The woman from Villa was pushing her one-year-old daughter in a stroller when they were hit by a car being driven by an 86 year old woman. The car had ploughed onto the sidewalk. Police say the elderly motorist from Clarks Hill has indicated the vehicle developed mechanical problems. Investigators say they will carry out checks on the vehicle, and if it turns out there were no problems with it, they will consider whether to charge the elderly driver. A 28-year-old woman and her one-year-old daughter were injured on Market Street in St John's Wednesday morning. The woman was reportedly pushing the toddler in a stroller when they were hit by a car being driven by an 86 year old woman.  The incident happened at about 11:30. The elderly motorist reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which then slammed into the sidewalk. The mother and daughter were rushed to the hospital; their injuries are not considered life-threatening.  In the video that surfaced on social media platforms, a car was seen running into the woman who was on the footpath with a toddler in a stroller. Immediately after seeing the car crashing into the woman, people rushed to help and took the injured to the hospital.  The car driver, an 80-year-old female, reported some mechanical failures, while people on social media demanded that her licence should be cancelled considering that she is not capable of driving due to her age.
